Dear friends and family,

THE HUS and its ecosystem have continued to grow. We're now finding ourselves at a very special point in our journey: We're re- / structuring our system to make it more tangible and interactive. With this newsletter we want to give you a little overview and update about the changes and new endeavours we've been up to.
THE HUS ecosystem is based on three pillars:

  1. Curating, fostering, and nurturing a community who dares to think big, asks questions, and wants to take action. Together.
  2. Organised gatherings that bring our community and more inspiring people together to raise the burning questions of our time; without higher interests, without borders, with each other. We make the unimaginable imaginable.
  3. Places that inspire, to rethink, to question, to connect, and to create new things together.
Summarised, as bridge builders, we focus on providing a platform where like-minded peers from all backgrounds connect on the basis of wanting to spur positive change through questioning, connecting, and collaborating.

The System Change Foundation: our mother foundation is in the process of forming forward-looking partnerships with other like-minded foundations to have a stable standing as a non-profit that is part of a bigger picture. With our starting point in Vaduz and our cross-border community, we want to contribute to making holistic thinking easier to grasp so that we start to believe we can tackle big issues completely detached from the existing. “Everything you can imagine is real” Pablo Picasso.

THE HUS.institute: our Think and Action Tank has been involved in many exciting projects over the past months.

We have participated in the HAGERBACH NXT50 Festival where we hosted and moderated a “Future Talk” on sustainability and innovation with Walter Kreisel of the neoom group, Burkhard Holder of VDE Renewables, and Philipp Furtler of Synhelion SA

THE HUS.acropolis: together with the Re-State Foundation and in collaboration with the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, THE HUS.opera, we have kicked off a new movement centered around the future of democracy, called “Right2Listen: What do music and democracy have in common?” The Right2Listen movement seeks to increase the ability of citizens to hear one another and bring a new perspective to the way we listen to music. The inaugural event took place in Athens, the cradle of the world’s democracy, on October 30th. The event brought together thinkers and leaders, institutions and citizens from various backgrounds and walks of life, including several non-profit foundations.

On November 24th, we have co-hosted another panel on “Circular Economy & Sustainable Cities” together with our friends aware_THE PLATFORM. We discussed where industry, private capital, entrepreneurs and policy can meet and collaborate with Dr. Martin Vollmer of Clariant AG, Dr. Christin ter Braak-Forstinger of Chi Impact Capital, and Christina Ramgraber of sira Kinderbetreuung.

HUS.space: we have brought to life a “self-sustaining” kind of ‘Soho House for impact’, so called HUS.SPACE, where we provide a physical space for our community, affiliated partners, and friends. By offering a space for spontaneous encounters, inspiration, and collaboration we can create new things together. We have opened up chapters in Vaduz, Zurich, and Cape Town with many more to come.

Our website will follow shortly – stay tuned!
